Lines for professionals and beginners
Right from the start of the season at the end of November, the "Top Park" is normally open, consisting of one "line" with simple jumps and rails, intended for both beginners and the more experienced. As soon as there is enough snow, the course is extended and the "medium line" opens which extends the whole length of the Mandra chairlift. Kickers and rails provide plenty of fun for experienced freestylers, ski school classes and anyone who is brave enough.
The flow line adds another dimension to the classic Corvatsch Park offering of kickers and rails. It provides the perfect introduction to the fascination of the snow park – whether you have one board or two skis under your feet. Amazing features like moguls and steep banking curves guarantee maximum fun.
Corvatsch has a new attraction. The Fun Ride provides an extra helping of action for everybody who needs a variety to perfectly groomed slopes or wants to get in touch with the world of freestyle. The name says it all! The Fun Ride is about 500 meters long and shod with waves, banks, small kickers and tables. It is located on the left-hand side of the Corvatsch Park near the Mandra chairlift.
3,303 metres above sea level: freeriders can travel to such lofty heights by cable car. At the top, they are spoilt for choice: couloir or powder snow?
The Corvatsch offers everything that gets freeriders’ pulses racing: a steep channel for freaks, expansive fields of deep snow for the more laid-back, cliff jumps for daredevils.
Powder until the end of april
And best of all: Thanks to its high altitude location and many northfacing slopes, there is no shortage of powder – even when elsewhere freestylers are surfing on corn snow. With classic routes such as the Piz San Gian or Il Chapütschin, the Corvatsch is an ideal departure point for ski tours too.
Not yet an Off-piste expert?
But would you like to have a go at freeriding and feel the fresh powder snow on your face, well away from the pistes? Then learn and experience skiing or snowboarding in open terrain under the supervision of a local guide. You'll be given some instruction about deep snow and avalanches to teach you the basics that you need to know in order to venture safely into the world of freeriding.
