Alpinathlon Engadin St. Moritz

On 21st July 2012 there will the third edition of the Alpinathlon Engadine St. Moritz. The Alpinathlon is sport, adventure, team spirit and an experience of the personal limits in one. The athletes conquer mountains and valleys, hiking trails and high-altitude tracks, summer and winter in a team, as a couple or as single. On the 136,6 kilometres between Bergün and the top station of Corvatsch the athletes master 5854 metres of ascent and 3918 metres of descent. The distance is split up in five sections; the athletes cover one of them by racing bicycle, two sections by mountain bike and two running.

Mountain Challenge - running up to 3'303 metres
Who dares to run the distance from St. Moritz to the top station of Corvatsch at 3'303 metres? The accessibility of the last section on the glacier is a novelty and guarantees a unique experience. On a distance of 10.8 km the runners will run across spring, summer, fall and winter all in one and cross the highest final line of a sports event in Europe on 3'303 metres.
