Hiking

After a short time you will be hiking above the tree line from where you can enjoy fantastic views on glaciers and lakes. The trail over Fuorcla Surlej down to the Roseg Valley and back to Pontresina is a very special experience.

The Fex Valley can be reached from the top station of Furtschellas via Alp Munt or Marmoré. Also the gentle “water path” which brings you in 2 ½ hours to six idyllic mountain lakes gives you unforgettable experiences. Starting point: top station of Furtschellas. The hiking area of Corvatsch has got the perfect route for everyone, be it for sporting and challenging goals or just for an enjoyable and easy pleasure.

Sils – Marmoré – Lej Sgrischus – Val Fex – Sils
From the Nietzsche House (1809m) on a zigzag trail through meadows and forests to the vantage point at Marmoré (2202m) with a great view of the lakes and the Fex Valley with its glaciers. Following the path which goes up to Alp Munt you reach the lake Lej Sgrischus (2618m) and after another half an hour you come to Piz Chüern (2689m). Then you descend on a marked trail over grassy slopes with a rich alpine flora down to the bottom of the valley. There’s the possibility to take the horse carriage from Curtins to Sils.
