Corvatsch or also Piz Corvatsch is situated about 5 - 10 km south of St. Moritz in the Upper Engadine.
It's the highest mountain in the Engadine on which you can get by funicular and one of the biggest ski areas in Switzerland..
Piz Nair is St. Moritz’s home mountain and at 3,057 metres above sea level the highest point in the Corviglia snow sports area. The mountain railway company, Piz Nair Bahnen, is a partner of Corvatsch AG.
High above St. Moritz, the Piz Nair Panorama Restaurant treats its guests to stunning views and excellent cuisine. On the menu are traditional Graubünden specialities, homemade soups and cakes, as well as special meals for children. And outside on the large sun terrace, the Engadin mountain scenery is evenmore impressive.

The Lej da la Pêsch mountain restaurant is a great place to take a break when coming from the Piz Nair or Fuorcla Grischa. Hearty mountain fare and tempting desserts are served on the peaceful sun terrace or in the cosy chalet-style restaurant. The meal of the day is particularly popular and good value for money.

If you always want to have waxed skis or sharp snowboard edges – or if you want to try a new ski each day, there is only one possibility: Renting.
The sport shops La Fainera, Sils and Skiservice Corvatsch, Silvaplana-Surlej as well as the shop - Intersport Rent Network - are specialized in top quality equipment and offer you the service that you deserve – only the best … and all this directly in the ski area or of course also in the valley.
Despite the huge selection, it can happen that the rent stations get short of equipment. Therefore it’s the best to reserve your skis in advance in high season, as soon as you have decided which one fits you best.
Corvatsch Ski School is a competent service provider for the entire range of snow sports: Ski, snowboard and cross country ski courses for beginners and advanced, courses for children and private lessons as well as telemark and snowshoeing.
It also organises professional ski races for both competitive and fun team events.
The ski school offices are located in:
- Surlej (ski lift Cristins)
- Sils (Chesa Cumünela / town hall)
- Maloja (tourist information)

Glamour and glittering snow in the sunshine – that’s Corviglia/Piz Nair/Marguns. And of course ski runs, mountain restaurants, huts, snow bars and more slopes. For young and old – beginners and experts. On the wide spread slopes of Corviglia/Piz Nair/Marguns you can find everything you are dreaming of. And you always have the feeling of skiing right towards the sun, into the deep blue Engadine sky.
Diavolezza Bernina is original and unspoilt. A world of glaciers and adventure all in one. Piz Bernina with its altitude of 4'049 metres is the highest mountain of the Grisons and the glacier run of Morteratsch/Isla Persa is the longest and most impressive one in the Engadin.
The ski runs around the glacier chairlift and the run down to the valley can also be enjoyed by less experienced skiers and by families. Lagalb has got steeper and more demanding slopes and is therefore only suitable for good skiers and snowboarders.
The tobogganing trail of Muottas Muragl leads from the top station down to the bottom station and is open daily from 9.30 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. Toboggans can be rented.
Aela: The steepest ski lift of the Engadine and the hot spot for free-riders. Always be careful! Never follow a track if you don’t now where it is leading to, because there are some cliffs which are not at all suitable for beginners!
