There are many nice and famous spots in Switzerland. But no other region combines so many highlights as the Destination Engadine St. Moritz. The two holiday paradises Silvaplana and Sils are located in the middle of this region – on a height of more than 1815 metres above sea level at the bottom of the Julier Pass in the heart of a fascinating lake region. And the area of Corvatsch with the highest mountain station in the Eastern Alps is located right there, between 1800 and 3303 metres.

Corvatsch in winter time
Even spoilt skiers and snowboarders of all ages become enthusiastic due to the 14 transportation facilities and the 120 kilometres of groomed ski runs. And as an extra bonus there is the longest illuminated ski run for night skiing in Switzerland. The 10 mountain restaurants in the middle of the breathtaking panorama stand for excellent food.

Tip: The greatest descent from Corvatsch is four kilometres long and leads directly from Corvatsch over Hahnensee to the Corviglia ski area in St. Moritz! And here comes another tip: The snow-covered mountain landscape can also be experienced beyond the ski runs using the snowshoes during a nice and quiet tour.

Corvatsch in summer time
Corvatsch offers many possibilities for all those who want to discover the beauty of the Upper Engadine on foot. There is a big number of interesting excursions which start from Sils, Silvaplana, St.Moritz or Pontresina and lead to and around Corvatsch.

After a short time you will be hiking above the tree line from where you can enjoy fantastic views on glaciers and lakes. The path over Fuorcla Surlej down to the Roseg Valley and back to Pontresina is a very special experience. In the Fex Valley you can enjoy the mountain summer in a very intense way thanks to the fragrant herb meadows.

The Fex Valley can be reached from the top station of Furtschellas via Alp Munt or Marmoré. Also the gentle “water path” which brings you in 2 ½ hours to six idyllic mountain lakes gives you unforgettable experiences. Starting point: top station of Furtschellas. The hiking area of Corvatsch has got the perfect route for everyone, be it for sporting and challenging goals or just for an enjoyable and easy pleasure.

Both stations are great starting points for fantastic hikes and plenty of skiing and vacation experiences.
